XClinical to merge with Carenity and Fortress Medical Systems to form new data science company serving global life sciences markets

MUNICH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XClinical, a leading provider of online clinical management software (eClinical), has announced its merger with French company Carenity, a social platform providing support to patients and caregivers worldwide, and Fortress Medical Systems, the US provider of Clindex®, a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system. All three companies are well-established leaders in their respective markets. The group is financed by BID Equity, a German private equity firm. Together, the three companies will form a new, innovative data science company, powered by cutting-edge technology. The group brings together unrivalled data science and eClinical software solutions, providing end-to-end coverage of the clinical development process for its customer base of over 150 clients in 20 countries, including the USA, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Japan and China.
