ELIOTE is one of the leading players in the French market for Audiovisual Media Services.
Formerly known as Eliote, the company founded in 1999 by Bruno Le Roy and Fernando Carvalho has progressively moved from the rental of editing equipment and cameras to the wider provision of services required for the production of flow programs (reality shows, game shows, etc.).Its position across the entire value chain now enables it to work towards buying out its competitors; a move which, despite its profitability, requires the support of a financier, embodied here by CalciumCapital, entering following a process managed by Wanda CorporateFinance. "Some fifteen funds were approached, resulting in a dozen meetings and five investment proposals", says AxelVuibert, founder of the M&A firm. The deal brings out Audacia, which injected €1.5 million in 2016, for "a marginal share" of the €8 million contributed byCalcium Capital Partners II, an FPCI closed at €75 million a year ago (read below) and making its fifth investment here.
